THIS year’s Hallowe’en pumpkin party has already proved a smashing success, with tickets selling out in just 45 minutes.

Returning for its second year after attracting over 600 visitors in 2017, the Barrhead Pumpkin Patch event will see families descend on Mossneuk Farm overlooking Neilston Mill on October 6 and 7.

Hosted by Mini Messies, the event offers families a huge variety of fun and games with a suitably spooky theme.

And it looks like this year will be an even bigger hit, as all tickets sold out within an hour of being made available online.

As well as getting the chance to pick their own Hallowe’en pumpkin, youngsters will be able to enjoy an assault course, messy play area for babies, tractor and trailer play, witches brew forest hunt, witches hat hoopla, face painting, glitter tattoos and much more.

Organiser Aisha Pollock contemplated the idea for a considerable period of time before taking the plunge last year.

She said: “There were 10 activities last year and this year we’ve added nine more to make it even bigger and better.

“It sold out last year so we decided to organise it again this year and within 45 minutes all the tickets were gone.

“We were overwhelmed by the support and we think it will be a fantastic couple of days.”
