GUESTS had a frightfully good time at a pre-Hallowe’en pumpkin party in Neilston.
More than 600 people paid a visit to Mossneuk Farm for the two-day event, which looks set to become a mainstay on the village’s social calendar.
An extensive supply of pumpkins, combined with fun activities such as an assault course and a witches’ hats hoopla, ensured the inaugural gathering was a success.
After contemplating the idea for a considerable period of time, organiser Aisha Pollock decided to “take the leap” and arrange the get-together at her family-run farm.
She told the Barrhead News: “It was fabulous. It’s our first year and it was run through our Mini Messies club.
“It was a fun day where the kids could come along and pick their own pumpkins.
“We had games, a little assault course, a witches’ hats hoopla, some messy play bits and tractor rides.
“We’ve been thinking about doing it for a couple of years and decided to go for it and take the leap.
“My best friend, Seonaid McMillan, did most of the organising and my husband Lewis helped to run it too.
“We had more than 600 people there over the two days.”
Detailing her plans for the future, Aisha added: “We’re going to have an Easter event and we will continue doing the pumpkin patch.
“Thank you to everyone who supported us. We couldn’t have done it without the local support.”
