Neilston suffered a 2-0 derby defeat at the hands of Johnstone Burgh at Keanie Park on Saturday.
The home team created a number of good openings in the first half but the Farmer’s Boys managed to make it to the interval on level terms.
However, the second period was only five minutes old when Stuart McCann put Burgh ahead.
And the points were sealed late on as former Neilston player Kieran Brophy came back to haunt his old club by netting from close range.
Earlier in the week, Neilston boss Kevin Muirhead added to his squad by signing Luke Crerand from Gartcairn.
The forward, who has also played for the likes of Hurlford United, Petershill and Ashfield, made his debut against Burgh.
Next up for Neilston is a trip to St Roch’s this Saturday, with a 2pm kick-off at James McGrory Park.
