Greg Docherty has been given permission to speak to Hull City over a potential move to League One.
The Rangers midfielder is not expected to be a Light Blues player much longer and has already opened discussions with the Tigers.
Any deal will be a permanent move out of Ibrox, as previously told by Herald and Times Sport. Manager Steven Gerrard revealed yesterday after his side's 3-0 win over St Johnstone that he would not allow Docherty to leave on loan.
The same goes, says the boss, for Hibs target Ross McCrorie. The latter has emerged as a wanted man in Switzerland with St Gallen plotting a move.
Gerrard said: "Hull are in for Greg Docherty so he has had permission to speak to them. We have had some interest from Hibs in Ross McCrorie. Those talks are ongoing.
“But Ross and Greg will not be going on loan. They have been on two loans. They have done that road. If we get bids that we like, that are good enough and big enough, we will consider them. But they won’t be going on loan.”
