Rangers' first home game of the new season has been rescheduled to accommodate their Europa League clash against Bayer Leverkusen in Germany.
Gers open their season against Aberdeen at Pittodrie on August 1 and were set to play St Mirren the following week in a 3pm kick-off at Ibrox on August 8. However with their knockout round game against Leverkusen to be played on August 6, the SPFL confirmed their game against the Buddies would be moved to Sunday August 9, with a 3pm kick-off.
Steven Gerrard's men have a tough Euro tie coming up with his players having a 3-1 first-leg defeat to overturn as they attempt to make it through to the last-eight. Should they make it through they could come up against either Getafe or Inter Milan following the draw last week.
One player who may not be involved in Rangers' games this season is Florian Kamberi who is now being tracked by St Gallen. Gers had been keen to sign the Hibs striker on a permanent transfer following a successful loan spell last season.
However it now appears the Swiss leaders have leapfrogged them in the queue to sign Kamberi.
