Ahead of tonight’s friendly against Pollok, Arthurlie boss Duncan Sinclair has admitted his side are still ‘three or four’ tough training sessions away from hitting their peak.
Following their loss to a young St Mirren XI on Saturday in their first pre-season outing, Sinclair’s men will line up against the West Region Premiership side tonight at Dunterlie with the gaffer relishing the test.
He said: “Pollok is a massive challenge for us but I said to the board that I wanted games, tough games, I’m really looking forward to it.

“The thing is, we’re still maybe three or four sessions from being at our very best if I’m being honest.
“Playing games brings a different type of fitness and sharpness so that’s why we’ve packed a lot of friendlies in two short weeks.”
Kick-off at Dunterlie tonight is 7.15pm.
