It has been a busy couple of days for Neilston with one player leaving and another signing up for the remainder of the season with the Farmer's Boys.

The Brig O' Lea outfit announced at the beginning of the week that former Rangers, Stranraer, Greenock Morton and Stenhousemuir midfielder Stephen Stirling had been snapped up after a successful trial.

Stirling, a youth player at Livingston before spending several years with Rangers, played 25 minutes as a trialist in Saturday's disappointing 3-2 loss against whipping boys Larkhall Thistle.

That result didn't sway co-managers Derek Carson and Chris Cameron, however, with the pair delighted to snap the playmaker up.

Stirling, 29, has been capped nine times for Scotland at U19 level, bagging five international goals.

Heading in the other direction out the door at Brig is goalkeeper Marc Wilson.

Wilson signed for Neilston under former co-managers Martin Campbell and John Paul Dow last summer and had started 12 competitive games this season but he has struggled to make an impact under the new regime and leaves by mutual agreement.

The Farmer's Boys travel to South Ayrshire tomorrow to take on Whitletts Victoria at Dam Park as they aim to bounce back from last weekend's slip up. The supporters bus will leave Brig O'Lea at 11.30am for the 2pm kick-off.
