It was a fantastic night of championship boxing at the Lagoon Centre in Paisley on Saturday with eight top class bouts taking place.

St Andrew’s Sporting Club have a reputation of putting on stellar nights and they didn’t disappoint here with a number of exciting fights.

First up was Cambuslang’s Jordan McCrorry who made light work of Reynaldo Mora before Scotland’s only professional female boxer Kristen Fraser showed why she remains unbeaten with a dominant display against Rozmari Silyanova.

Dumbarton welterweight Martin Harkin dismantled experienced journeyman Chris Jenkinson who refused to continue after a vicious body shot.

Nathaniel Collins, who represented Scotland at the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games, dispatched of Englishman Lee Connolly with ease before Craig Morgan dropped Adam Hutchinson twice.

Paisley super-lightweight Callan McAuley was in against experienced Bulgarian Angel Emilov who weighed in a staggering 18lbs heavier.

But McAuley refused to be bullied as his super boxing skill saw him win the opening five rounds to take his professional record to 5-0.

Ahmed Ibrahim was impressive as he stopped Ryan Collins in emphatic fashion in the penultimate fight before Gary Rae took on Scott Allan in the headline bout.
