Jack Harper made his official Malaga CF debut on Saturday in the club’s 2-1 win against CD Lugo in La Liga 2.
The 22-year-old Scottish youth international, whose family swapped Barrhead for the Costa del Sol before he was born, looked destined for the top after signing a five year contract with Real Madrid as a 16-year-old.
However, Harper moved to Brighton in the English Championship in 2015 before signing for Malaga last season.
The former Real Madrid starlet played the full 90 minutes and had a goal ruled offside as the Boquerones earned three points in their season opener.
