Barrhead boxer Gary Rae will fight for the first title of his career after it was announced he will be taking on experienced brawler Scott Allan for the vacant Celtic Bantamweight crown on Friday October 6 at the Lagoon Leisure Centre in Paisley.
The unbeaten 30-year-old has earned the right to fight for the bantamweight title after a number of impressive displays in his eight professional bouts, his most recent win coming against Nicaraguan Johnson Tellez in June.
Many had tipped ‘Razor’ Rae for title success after that performance and he will now take on the experienced Allan.
Allan, from Shotts, is five years younger than Rae, but has more mileage in the ring with eight wins, three defeats and a draw from his 12 professional fights.
