Here is an open letter to Roseanne Barr...

Dear Roseanne, I’m trying so hard not to jump on the ‘screw you’ bandwagon but you’re making it so difficult for me.

You see, I was a really big fan of your show. It was very special to me because it reminded me of my mum. You and her would have got on great – both strong, wickedly quick with humour and able to stand up for yourselves and your family.

I know you feel like you’re being persecuted over what you tweeted.

You’re also entitled to feel sad over the decision to cancel your show in the wake of the storm those tweets have caused.

I don’t know if you heard or not but, a few months ago, I too found myself between shows.

Have you considered a comeback on Pulse on Sunday nights at 6pm?
It’s just a thought.

Where I’m so disappointed in you Roseanne is how deep you’ve got into this Trump stuff.

You were a role model for strong, independent women. You were so forward thinking, your show dealt with real issues that real families could identify with.

So what happened?

Your support for Trump is ridiculous.

And let’s be honest, Rosie, this isn’t the first time you’ve been caught with your hand in the cookie jar.

You’ve been tweeting stuff like this for a long time.

However, this time, it has come right back and bitten you on the butt.

In fact, it hasn’t just bitten you, has it? It’s also bitten John and Laurie, it’s bitten Sara and Michael and Lecy, and it’s bitten your entire crew of over 200 people who worked on your show.

These are all ordinary people with families, just trying to get by in life.
Sound familiar?

What is worse is that you’re now trying to act like it wasn’t your fault.

YOU DID THIS, ROSEANNE. This is all on YOU.

If you want to do the right thing, here’s what I suggest...seek some professional help to overcome your negative thoughts about others.

I really believe there is something wrong with you if you think the sort of stuff you have been tweeting is acceptable.

Forget about the show, just focus on you.

Get well soon, Roseanne.

Peter.
