A TRIBUTE night to Sir Elton John is set to hit Kilmarnock.

“The Rocket Man - A Tribute To Sir Elton John” will hit the town’s Palace Theatre in September as part of a UK-wide tour.

Starring singer Jimmy Love as Sir Elton, the star of the upcoming show was spotted this morning at St Pancras International station in London performing a selection of Sir Elton’s greatest hits and promoting the show to an unsuspecting public.

Tribute artist Jimmy Love will be providing the Kilmarnock crowd with a fitting homage to the living legend and piano perfectionist.

Jimmy and his band will be belting out classic hits, including “Yellow Brick Road,” “Crocodile Rock,” “Philadelphia Freedom,” “Saturday Nights Alright for Fighting,” “Your Song” and many more.

The show will come off the back of what has been a big year for Sir Elton John, following the release of biopic “Rocketman” which hit cinemas in May.

Directed by Dexter Fletcher and starring Taron Egerton as the singer, the film sees Egerton’s take on John go from budding singer to bonafide rock star and culminates in his famous concert at Dodger Stadium in 1975.

“The Rocket Man - A Tribute To Sir Elton John” will be at the Palace Theatre, Kilmarnock on September 19 and Greenock’s Beacon Arts Centre on September 20. Click here for more dates and to buy tickets.
