Reindeer and elves helped light up a winter wonderland at a new housing development.
Around 600 people gathered in the Duncarnock estate in Barrhead, built by Taylor Wimpey, for a special community Christmas event organised and funded by neighbours, businesses and supporters.
An estate resident who helped organise the event said: “We had generous donations from the builder, Taylor Wimpey, a local blind company, Peaky Blinds, as well as lots of generous donations from the residents.
“With the donations we managed to invite Santa, his reindeer and give every child a gift.”
The festive celebration included hot drinks, a visit from Father Christmas and two reindeer, and a garage transformed into a wintry photobooth.
It also saw four local teenagers dressed as elves, handing out bubbles, tree baubles, glow sticks and reindeer dust to children.

The organisers said the event was designed to be “as inclusive as possible”, with voluntary donations to ensure everyone could take part.
Peaky Blinds sponsored the reindeer experience, while Taylor Wimpey contributed towards the overall costs.
A resident said: “The event truly brought everyone together.
“Many people commented on how lovely it was to finally have the chance to chat to neighbours they rarely see due to busy work and family schedules.
“The children were able to meet Santa and two of his reindeer, feed them carrots, and sit in Santa’s sleigh.
“It was genuinely magical for them and a wonderful moment for the whole community.”
The team now hope to make the Christmas celebration an annual event and are already considering other activities to help strengthen community spirit in the new estate.
