Barrhead residents are being urged to donate blood to support those in need.

The Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service will be at St Andrew's Church on Ralston Road on Wednesday, September 3, between 1.30pm and 3.30pm, and again from 5pm to 8pm.

Appointments can be made at scotblood.co.uk or by calling 0345 90 90 999.

Due to a printing issue, donors won’t be sent their usual paper health check questionnaire.

Instead, they’ll be given the questionnaire to complete upon arrival at the session.

Donors will be given extra time to fill out the questionnaire before giving blood.
