A show celebrating a legendary rock and roll star is coming to Eastwood Park Theatre.

Buddy Holly and the Cricketers will take to the stage at the Giffnock venue on Saturday, October 5.

The five actor-musicians will deliver an evening of raw rock and roll, haunting ballads and energetic performances.

All of Buddy’s big hits will be performed including ‘That’ll Be The Day,’ ‘Peggy Sue,’ ‘Heartbeat,’ ‘It Doesn’t Matter Anymore,’ ‘Raining In My Heart,’ ‘Oh Boy!’, plus others from chart-topping artists.

Producer Simon Fielder of Simon Fielder Productions, a former actor in the original touring and West End show, said: “As a young guitarist I listened to Buddy and he massively influenced my playing and writing.

“My adult life has been spent performing his music and presenting other actor musicians on stages all over the world who have brought delight to thousands and thousands of people.

"The show has been on the road for 32 years now and even managed some performances during the years of the pandemic.

“Rock and roll will never die.”
