Two kind-hearted Barrhead school girls used their spare time this summer to fundraise for a good cause.
Scarlett McGarry, 8, and her friend Isla McAdam, 9, hosted a car boot sale in the street.
The Cross Arthurlie Primary pupils managed to raise £321.26 for Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity, which they then proudly handed over.
Scarlett’s mum Lisa Cuthbert told the Barrhead News: “They decided to have a clear out of toys and made some cakes and had a car boot sale in the street over a few different days.
“They came up with the idea themselves and decided on the charity both for different reasons.”
