TAKING part in a Scottish Government media event can feel a little strange sometimes.
You would expect there to be reporters from all sections of the media ready to ask the people at the top – whether that be Cabinet Secretaries, chief executives, or First Ministers – a range of questions on voters’ minds.
Instead, we often get a series of similar-minded reporters from newspapers with similar editorial lines asking a series of similar questions. Often, in fact, they’re all patiently waiting to ask the exact same one.
Now, I understand the need to ask a question more than once to get a straight answer out of a politician, but sometimes it just goes beyond the joke.

Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
