Police have launched an investigation after a report of a theft in Neilston.
The probe follows a report on social media that a man allegedly stole a mobile phone yesterday (Monday, April 8) from premises on Main Street, believed to be Neilston Dental Surgery.
The alleged theft reportedly took place during an incident which saw a man enter the practice and make "quite a bit of a scene" and try "to walk into rooms making out he couldn't understand anything said to him."
It was also claimed on social media he then followed a nurse who went for help to the surgery and when approached by another staff member "pretended he was looking for a shave."
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 4.55pm on Monday, April 8, to a report of a theft from a premises on Main Street in Neilston.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
