Drivers warned about 11-DAY road closure - here's why (Image: Newsquest)
Drivers are being warned about a road closure in East Renfrewshire next month.
Castleton Drive in Newton Mearns will be shut from its junction with Broomfield Avenue up to and including its junction with Castlemount Avenue.
The anticipated dates of the closure are from Monday, April 15 to Friday, April 26.
The closure will allow for essential carriageway resurfacing works on or near the road.
All vehicles will be subject to the restriction except those associated with the works or emergency service vehicles attending an incident.
As an alternative route, drivers will be able to go from Broomfield Avenue to Castlehill Drive to Castleton Drive and vice versa.
