ScotRail train passengers are facing rush-hour disruption after an issue this morning.

ScotRail has said services between Glasgow Central and Barrhead are facing delays following a signal fault earlier on.

The rail firm said they were made aware of the fault at Maxwell Park a short while ago.

However, the travel company confirmed the issue has now been fixed but services between Glasgow Central and Barrhead are subject to delays due to it.

A spokesperson for ScotRail said: "There was a signalling fault in the Muirhouse area earlier this morning which was affecting our trains running via Maxwell Park.

"These services are returning to normal.

"However, services between Glasgow Central and Barrhead are subject to some delays."
