Major East Renfrewshire road to be closed for 'urgent' works (Image: Newsquest)
Drivers are being warned of a major overnight road closure starting next week.
The A726 westbound carriageway from the Belle Craig Roundabout to the MaidenHill Interchange will close for four nights.
East Renfrewshire Council, who are carrying out the job, say the reason for the closure is to allow for urgent drainage works.
The road is set to be closed between 8pm and 6am from Tuesday, February 6 until Saturday, February 10.
Road users will be diverted by being asked to take the B767 Eaglesham Road/Glasgow Road onto Waterfoot Road then to Mearns Road before taking Eaglesham Road and onto Ayr Road.
