A probe has been launched following a report of an attempted break-in at a property in Neilston.
The incident on Kirktonfield Road was reported to police yesterday morning.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 10.10am on Wednesday, January 3 officers were made aware of an attempted housebreaking at a property on Kirktonfield Road in Neilston.
"Officers attended and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances."
