An area was evacuated this afternoon after the wall of a shopping centre was struck during a three-car crash.
The incident took place at The Avenue in Newton Mearns and also involved an unattended bicycle, a police update has confirmed.
As previously reported by the Barrhead News, the collision prompted officers to warn of road closures near to the shops and to urge people to avoid the area.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a crash involving three cars and an unattended bicycle at The Avenue on Ayr Road in Newton Mearns around 12.30pm on Wednesday, December 13.
“Nobody required hospital treatment.
“A wall at the shopping centre was struck during the incident and an area evacuated to allow for structural assessment, which has now been completed and the centre has fully reopened.
“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
