**Update: The road closures have now been lifted**
Police have urged people to avoid the area near a crash in East Renfrewshire.
Road closures are in place close to the Avenue Shopping Centre in Newton Mearns following an incident.
In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, a Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Please be aware that road closures are in place near to the @Avenue_Shopping due to a road traffic collision.
"Please avoid the area for the time being."
