1. Kind-hearted East Renfrewshire Council staff sang their hearts out to raise money for the Philippines disaster fund, at an-hour long concert at Eastwood House in Giffnock. 3. Youngsters from Barrhead High School embodied the spirit of Christmas as they handed out presents to the elderly. A team of eight girls took it upon themselves to organise a big disco bash for their year group. After funding the entire event out of their own pockets, they have used the proceeds to buy presents for the elderly at Norwood Care Home.
4. Pupils at Barrhead High School had a New Year’s resolution to do more in the community. Youngsters visited the elderly, baked cakes for the community, litter picked and sprinkled a bit of festive cheer.
5. Carlibar and St Thomas’ served up at a primary school tennis competition and earned the right to represent the Barrhead and St Luke's cluster at the East Renfrewshire Primary Tennis Championships.
6. Neilston was being tipped as one of the favourite side's to make the jump to the Super League, but the ‘Ton gaffer was not getting carried away.
