A YOUNGSTER has been arrested after allegedly bursting out a fire exit of a bus in Barrhead. 

It comes after police received a report of a youth who ran out of a fire exit of a bus on Main Street at around 9.15pm on Tuesday, November 21, causing a delay to the service.

The teen was then arrested on a related charge.

Now, cops have said patrols will remain in the area to deter youth disorder.

A spokesperson for East Renfrewshire Police said: "About 9.15pm on Tuesday, November 21, Police were called after a youth ran out of a fire exit of a bus on Main Street Barrhead, causing a delay to the route.

"He was arrested on a related charge.

"Patrols remain in the area to deter youth disorder."
