1. Three long-lost Barrhead friends met up in South Africa nearly 50 years after they led paper rounds in the town together.
2. Opponents from 11 years old to 80 years old competed in the first-ever intergenerational quiz in Barrhead.
3. Dozens of youngsters and parents put on their wellies for cancer care. Children from the McCreadie Family Centre took part in the sponsored walk around Carlibar Park.
4. A bunch of pupils from Barrhead High took to the streets of East Renfrewshire for a litter pick after they signed a national litter pledge to keep the local area clean.
5. Hundreds of youngsters from schools across East Renfrewshire had a "ball" at a major school football festival.
6. A Barrhead school pupil was selected to play an important role in the 2014 Commonwealth Games. Stuart Faulds was a part of the Queen's Baton Relay selection panel for East Renfrewshire.
