The 32-year-old who prides herself on being “weird” and “unusual” has now transformed her home into a “tattoo studio waiting room” since moving in a year ago.

Her video gained more than 200k views with thousands of people commenting their admiration after seeing the minimal grey vibe change into a maximal dark aesthetic.

Ashleigh said: “I never had any intention of going viral on TikTok, I had no idea people would be so interested in my house.

“I really like unusual or weird stuff that no one else has and I really want to make my living space show that off.

“There is an ounce of tackiness that I enjoy with interior design, but I also think it needs to be cool, creative, and well put together.

“Lots of people have compared the living room aesthetic to a tattoo studio waiting room which I do see.

“I really had no intention of becoming an influencer but who knows maybe I can be Glasgow’s gothic Mrs Hinch.”

Ashleigh moved into the house last November and has been hunting in vintage stores, charity shops and Facebook Marketplace for unique finds.

The Glasgow beauty salon owner then adds her own stamp by crafting items including a bloody-eyed cherub table and stairs with mannequin legs.

She uses her artistic skills as a makeup artist and love of emo culture to create her designs making special pieces for her place.

Ashleigh explained: “I have been working on my house since moving in last November, there is still heaps to do, the project just keeps going.

“For inspiration, I get loads of stuff second-hand in charity shops as well as Facebook Marketplace, then I add my own spin onto it.

“Recently I upcycled my coffee table into looking like dead cherubs which I am particularly proud of.

“The next project is the top of the stairs and it does involve mannequin legs, I see the vision but still need to do more work on it.

“People might think I am trying to be like the Addams family or a funeral parlour, but it is really more curated than that, style still matters.”
