Drivers to face disruption as busy road hit with restrictions next week (Image: Newsquest)
DRIVERS are set to face disruption next week as a lane on a busy road in Newton Mearns will be closed overnight.
Eaglesham Road's southbound carriageway will be hit with the lane closure from its access to the Esso garage for a distance of approximately 10 metres from 9pm on Wednesday, August 30 until 6am on Thursday, August 31.
It will mean motorists will be unable to make a left turn from the Esso garage into Eaglesham Road.
The restriction is being put in place to allow the safe operation of BT utility works, on or near the road.
