A MAN who had an outstanding warrant for committing an offence has been arrested in East Renfrewshire.

It comes after officers from Greater Glasgow’s Violence Reduction unit conducted patrols across the area.

As part of them, cops say combatting youths on scooters and scrambler bikes is a priority for the force.

A spokesperson for East Renfrewshire Police said: “Thanks to proactive patrols from Greater Glasgow Violence Reduction unit, a man was arrested – a male on a petition warrant.

“They remain visible in East Renfrewshire, with youths on scoots and scrambler bikes still a priority."
