A MAN has been arrested after allegedly being found over three times the drink drive limit following a vehicle smash.
It comes after officers received a report of a road traffic accident in Newton Mearns on Thursday, July 27.
A 67-year-old man was arrested after reportedly being found over the limit.
He will appear in court at a later date.
A spokesperson for East Renfrewshire Police said: “On Thursday, July 27, police attended a report of a road traffic collision in Newton Mearns.
“Upon attending the driver, a 67-year-old male, was found to be three times over the limit for alcohol. He was arrested and will appear at court at a later date.”
