A MAN faces assault charges after being arrested in connection with an incident in a Barrhead street.
Police said the 36-year-old suspect was detained following an alleged assault on a 38-year-old man in Cross Arthurlie Street on the evening of Friday, July 21.
He has also been charged in connection with an alleged offence of police assault.
A police spokesperson told the Barrhead News: "He was released on an undertaking to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court at a later date."
