A TEENAGER has had their bike seized after allegedly resisting arrest in Barrhead.

It comes after officers were alerted to several males travelling on electric off-road bikes in the town on Saturday, June 24.

After attending to the reports, cops say one 17-year-old was stopped at Asda where he reportedly resisted arrest and was found to be in possession of drugs.

A spokesperson for East Renfrewshire Police said: “On the evening of Saturday, June 24, we were alerted to several makes travelling on electric off-road bikes in Barrhead.

"One 17-year-old was stopped at Asda.
