A TEENAGER has had their bike seized after allegedly resisting arrest in Barrhead.
It comes after officers were alerted to several males travelling on electric off-road bikes in the town on Saturday, June 24.
After attending to the reports, cops say one 17-year-old was stopped at Asda where he reportedly resisted arrest and was found to be in possession of drugs.
On the evening of 24/06/23, we were alerted to several males travelling on electric off-road bikes in Barrhead. One 17 y.o was stopped at Asda. A spokesperson for East Renfrewshire Police said: “On the evening of Saturday, June 24, we were alerted to several makes travelling on electric off-road bikes in Barrhead.
"One 17-year-old was stopped at Asda.
"He allegedly resisted arrest and was found to have drugs when secured.
“He lost the drugs – and the bike.
“A report will go to the Procurator Fiscal.”
