A MAJOR retailer has revealed a "new look" to their Silverburn store after being closed for a makeover.

The Body Shop has launched its first-ever “Changemaking Workshop” style store.

Officially reopening on Thursday, June 22, the “refreshed and colourful” new store will include a striking feature sink in the middle of it, a consultation table and interactive assets, while the popular refill station will also be making a comeback.

As part of its launch, the store will celebrate its makeover by handing out a goody bag to the first 200 customers who spend £25 in it.

Inspiration behind the new store's concept is “loosely” based on founder Anita Roddick’s kitchen which she used to establish The Body Shop in the 1970s.

The retailer claims the new store promotes sustainability and will act as a hub for the community while emphasising the brand’s values around community fair trade ingredients, activism, and fighting for a fairer world.

Tracey Houston, store manager, said: “We are really excited to unveil this new concept in Glasgow.

“A lot of work and time has gone into curating the design which is inspired by social change.

“We want to create an environment that gives customers a great experience and we know that our Silverburn regulars will love it.”

David Pierotti, general manager of Silverburn, added: “The Body Shop has been a part of Silverburn for nearly 16 years and has always been a guest favourite which is why we are so pleased to see it invest in this brilliant new concept store.

“The new design is rooted in sustainability and community, both of which are very important to us and to our guests.

“We know it is going to be a hit.”
