1. Delving into her memories of growing up and living in Barrhead, poet and former songwriter Ruth Conway presented her latest book “Tears and Ink."
2. St John’s pupils Laura Madaj and Rachel McInally had a golden day at the Inspire-Aspire awards as they picked-up awards from Olympian Katherine Grainger CBE.
3. Disney characters Bagheera, Mowgli, Shere Khan and Baloo paid a visit to Springhill and Auchenback Primary. More than 140 primary four to seven pupils dressed up and performed in a school show based on the Jungle Book.
4. Barrhead honoured Britain’s armed forces with a raising of the flag ceremony at the council offices which was attended by politicians, war veterans and serving soldiers.
5. Youngsters from Cross Arthurlie Primary swapped the classroom for the gym hall as they tested their skills at an after-school hockey camp.
6. Arthurlie Family Centre held its annual fete and youngsters got stuck into all kinds of fun and activities.
