The Scottish Childminding Association (SCMA) is leading a recruitment drive to train and support new childminders in East Renfrewshire.
For a limited time, SCMA is offering fully-funded support and training packages to help people set up new childminding businesses where there is a demand for more childcare to support working families.
As well as training and support, applicants who meet the eligibility criteria will be provided with a business start-up grant to help them pursue a career in the sector.
Applicants will be considered from all areas of the local authority.
Backing the drive, a spokesperson for East Renfrewshire Council, said: “This is a hugely rewarding career providing high-quality, nurturing childcare from your own home and gives you flexibility to work around your family.”
