1. Two leading Scottish athletes visited Barrhead High School to spread the word about sport and healthy living. Netball star Claire Brownie and hockey player Holly Cram called in at the school.
2. Youngsters from St John’s Primary School visited Frankie and Benny’s in Silverburn to make their own pizzas and get a tour of the restaurant.
3. Young people in Uplawmoor got crafty with people eight times their age and learnt some new skills from a creative bunch of older people.
4. Over 240 kids took to the track at the annual Springhill and Auchenback Primary school sports day.
5. Generous school children in Neilston managed to raise £500 for Neilston’s War Memorial society.
6. Primary school pupils from St Mark’s, St John’s, and St Thomas took to West Lodge to show off their rugby skills.
