A LOCAL firm has revealed a proposal to submit a planning application for a major development in East Renfrewshire.

J&M Murdoch has submitted a Proposal of Application Notice (PAN) to start the planning and community consultation process for a new development in Neilston.

The firm is planning on creating a transport depot, workshops, office and welfare facilities, and a museum on land to the south of Lochlibo Road and to the east of Cowdenbrae, Shillford.

East Renfrewshire Council validated the PAN on Thursday, May 25.

Due to it being a major development, the planning requires a pre-application consultation ahead of the official planning application.

Two consultation events are set to be held in Neilston Parish Church.

The first one will take place on Wednesday, June 14, and it will include a series of boards which will provide information on the proposal.

There will also be the opportunity for residents to comment, raise issues, or ask any questions they may have.

The second event will be held on Wednesday, August 16, and it will provide a further developed plan and respond to any previous issues raised.

In addition to the consultations, any questions or comments can also be made by phone at 0131 550 6500 or by emailing stevie.sinclair@ironsidefarrar.com
