A GLASGOW City Council worker has been arrested in connection with alleged indecent communication offences following an alleged "sting" by a paedo-hunter group.
The 58-year-old, who was working when cops turned up to arrest him on Saturday afternoon, is due to appear in court today.
It comes after the online child protection team 'Protecting kids Scotland' carried out the "sting" on Calder Street, Govanhill.
A meeting was allegedly set up with the council worker using a "decoy" youngster.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 12pm on Saturday, June 3, a 58-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with alleged indecent communications.
"He is due to appear before Ayr Sheriff Court on Monday, June 5, 2023.
"A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal."
A council spokesperson added: “This matter is subject to a police investigation and it would be inappropriate to comment any further at this time.”
