FAMILIES are being invited along to a community fun day at Whitelee Windfarm this weekend.
Being held by ScottishPower Renewables, the event will take place on Sunday, June 11, from 11am until 4pm.
It will include an animal petting zoo, a “meet the birds” exhibit with Owl Magic, a range of delicious street foods and Clydesdale horses and carriages.
Guests will also be able to get hands-on with the interactive “Powering the Future” exhibits by Glasgow Science Centre or try some piping and drumming with the ScottishPower Pipe Band.
Those keen on attending are also urged to take along their dog to be in with a chance of winning a luxury dog hamper worth £250.
Barry Carruthers, managing director, Onshore, ScottishPower Renewables, said: “Not only does Whitelee Windfarm generate enough clean, green energy to power over 350,000 homes, it’s also a much-loved destination for visitors.
“We’re delighted to host this Community Day to celebrate the windfarm and offer people the chance to learn more about its benefit; it’s much more than a windfarm.”
