A WOMAN has allegedly been caught driving without insurance in Barrhead.
Officers stopped a car on Main Street in the town on Wednesday, May 31, at around 9.30am.
A 34-year-old female driver was reportedly found to have no valid insurance.
The woman received a fine and points on her licence.

A spokesperson for East Renfrewshire Police said: “At about 9.30am on Wednesday, May 31, officers stopped a car on Barrhead Main Street.
“The 34-year-old female driver was found to have no insurance and was duly issued a fixed penalty notice.
“Points will go on her licence, and insurance will likely be affected.”
