The 1st Barrhead Scouts hosted ‘a Big Help Out’ event this month.
The day, which included free refreshments and activities, was an opportunity for youngsters interested in joining and adults keen to volunteer, to visit and find out more about the group.
The event took place at the 1st Barrhead Scout Hall on Arthurlie Street and allowed those who came along the chance to try some activities and meet members for a cup of tea and a chat.
Among those in attendance were Donald Gordon, the regional chair of the Scouts in Scotland; Deputy Lieutenant Sir Henry Burns and Ian Hunter, the regional commissioner of the Scouts.
