PLANS to extend Neilston’s pharmacy have been approved by council bosses.
We previously reported that a proposal to create a single-storey rear extension to the store on Main Street was submitted to the council in March.
The extension is to allow the medicine store to form internal storage space and provide them with a location for an automatic prescription collection unit.
Granting the plans on Thursday, May 18, council bosses based their decisions on several conditions.
These were: the development must begin within three years of the approved proposal, the bricks used on external surfaces of the building must closely match the ones on the existing rear elevation, and the door on the side elevation fronting Kirkstyle Lane must be an inward opening door.
