Week-long partial road closure for resurfacing works (Image: PA)
Motorists are facing a week-long partial road closure to allow carriageway resurfacing works to be carried out.
The A77 Ayr Road at Newton Mearns will be shut from the bridge over the M77 to its new access to Maidenhill from Monday, May 22 to Monday, May 29.
All vehicles will be prohibited except those associated with the works, emergency service vehicles attending an incident and essential roads maintenance vehicles.
Access to properties within the bounds of the closure may be permitted by the contractor on site when it is possible to do so in conjunction with the works going on at the time.
An alternative route for drivers will be available via the A77 Ayr Road, Mearns Road, Eaglesham Road and Ayr Road and vice versa.
