A POPULAR running event is set to return to Barrhead next month.
The Rainbow Race will take place on Saturday, June 10, at Carlibar Park in the town.
The event, which is being held by All About Barrhead, is described as a “fun run” with a colourful twist as it includes splash zones, tunnels, inflatable obstacles, and getting covered in powder paint.
It is the first time the running event is being held in three years, following two years of cancellations due to the coronavirus pandemic, and then a further postponement due to upgrades at the park.
Those keen on heading along are able to purchase a ticket that include a t-shirt and individual paint packet.
Participants of the fun run, who complete the race, will also receive a goodie bag and water and fruit at the end of it.
All ages can take part in the event.
