It was a frustrating afternoon for Neilston on Saturday as goals in the first and final minutes of the game saw them slump to defeat at Benburb.
The Farmer's Boys always faced a tough task against the high-flying Govan outfit and made a nightmare start at New Tinto Park as Aaron Black put the home team ahead after just 20 seconds.
Neilston had a penalty claim towards the end of the first half when former player Paul Doyle appeared to be guilty of handball but nothing was given.
Black was on the scoresheet again in added time to secure a 2-0 win for the Bens.
It is a busy period for Neilston, who are back in action against Shotts Bon Accord at Hannah Park tomorrow night (May 2) before facing St Cadoc’s at the Brig O’Lea on Friday, with kick-off at 7.15pm.
