Arthurlie were left with nothing to show from their double-header against Auchinleck Talbot, despite providing the Ayrshire outfit with two tough tests.
The teams met at Dunterlie Park last Wednesday night, where a goal from Michael Wardrope gave the visitors an early lead.
Ally Park doubled Talbot’s advantage on 39 minutes before Ross Taylor sealed the points a few minutes after the break.
The second match took place at Beechwood Park on Saturday and, although Arthurlie again battled hard, it was a similar outcome as two goals in the space of five minutes from Ross Smith and Gareth Armstrong earned three points for Talbot.
Arthurlie have just three games left to play this season, all of which take place at Dunterlie.
First up is a huge clash against Kirkintilloch Rob Roy this Saturday, with Arthurlie manager Colin Reilly targeting all three points.
Kick-off is at 2pm.
