The Community Hub East Renfrewshire is urging those who care for a family member or friend to attend an informal event next week.
The online evening session will facilitate a discussion about a new volunteering initiative which will allow unpaid carers to have some time out.
‘Let’s talk about short breaks’ will take place on Wednesday, April 26, from 7pm to 8pm.
A post on the Community Hub’s social media page said: “Many carers within our community are looking after a family member or friend as well as working full-time or having other daytime commitments.
“That's why we have arranged an online evening session to talk about our new volunteering initiative to allow unpaid carers some time out.
“This could be to meet a friend, take up a hobby, attend an appointment or do whatever they choose.
“It's vital that carers share their views, experiences and any concerns to help us build the support that will work for you.”
