RESIDENTS are being invited to community drop-ins as work is set to begin on a key railway line.

As part of the Barrhead to Glasgow electrification project, Network Rail piling works are due to start between Thornliebank and Busby stations.

Due to this, the project team are inviting residents along to find out more and also ask any questions they may have.

The drop-ins will be held on Tuesday, April 18, between 4pm and 7pm at Memorial Hall in Busby and on Wednesday, April 19, from 3.45pm until 7.45pm at Giffnock Library.

Sharing the event on social media, East Renfrewshire Council said: "Network Rail piling works will soon get underway between Thornliebank and Busby train stations as part of the Barrhead to Glasgow electrification project. 

"The project team are holding community drop-in events to answer any questions you may have."
