PLANS to turn a former shop into a new NHS practice in Barrhead have been approved by council bosses.
A planning application to change 178-180 Main Street into an Orthodontic Practice was submitted on Monday, February 13.
The proposal shows that the new dental practice will feature a surgery room with one bed and another surgery room with three beds in it.
It also shows it will include a separate x-ray room.
Currently, the building is not being used, however, according to the application, it used to be the home to an RS McColl’s store.
Granting the planning permission on Tuesday, April 4, the council approved it subject to one condition.
This was the development must begin no later than the expiration of three years beginning from the date which permission was granted.
